We hatch. And so it begins...

I turned thirty yesterday.  No, it's fine, I'm okay.  Really.

That said, as I take quick stock of my accomplishments to date, I'm pretty happy with what I've managed to pull off so far.  I've got a cute Italian husband, a big, fat, happy baby & a passion for my career in wedding & event planning.  So after three glasses of prosecco & a nice dinner last night, I woke up ready to take a tylenol and then tackle my thirties with reckless abandon (and the last seven pounds I can't seem to drop since my pregnancy).

Enter this blog.

I am obsessed with weddings.  You know that friend who gets engaged, and all of a sudden she has nothing to talk about but wedding invitations, Amsale sample sales and this amazing idea she saw for making 150 dogwood blossoms by hand out of gumpaste for her wedding cake?  Yeah, that's me.  And yes, I made 150 dogwood blossoms by hand out of gumpaste for my wedding cake.  Photo evidence below.

So then why the blog?  For years I've been collecting pictures and ideas (and a little wisdom along the way) that I think would make for a great wedding.  And after years of planning events, I've learned quite a bit about how to creatively and efficiently get the job done, so I'll be sharing some veteran know-how along the way, too.  So without further ado, I'd like to give my official "hello" to the world....this duck has hatched, and we're ready to start ruffling some feathers!
