I'm Taking Notes - Paper Themed Weddings

confetti from

As some of you may already know, first anniversaries are commemorated with gifts of paper.  With the duckling's first anniversary (with our family) having just passed this weekend, I've put together a paper-themed wedding design board for your perusal.  I love paper weddings for many reasons - everything can be recycled, unlike flowers there's no seasonality to the options available to you, it's affordable, and best of all, your guests will never run out of toilet paper.

With that said, let's jump right in - you grab the pen, I'll bring the paper.

Unless you make Amish pretzels for a living, you've likely seen some of the incredible work done by Confetti System.  Hired by J. Crew and Bergdorf Goodman (to name a few) Confetti System's geometric pinatas and metallic garlands have been gracing store windows and bringing bling to the world of paper decor.  I have a bride and groom, Lara and Craig, who are using Confetti System for their summer wedding.  Don't be surprised if some of their lovely garland accidentally falls into my purse.  Confetti System also has an online store (in addition to taking custom orders) for all of you who carry bags too small to hide a pinata.  Here's some sparkly goodness if you haven't already left me to go drool over Confetti System's website:

Now I'm sure some of you are thinking this is all just a little too flashy for your tastes..."What ever happened to white weddings?"...

Find out after the jump..

These delicate and intricate paper details will have you lifting entire reams of printer paper from your workplace.  Please remember most copy rooms have cameras nowadays.  And yes, those vases in the bottom left corner are made entirely of paper.  I'm imagining clusters of them hanging upside down, lantern-style over your dinner tables.  After all, they are sold in packs of three.

And I just love this table runner for your sweetheart table.
