Our baby girl arrived Friday, July 20th just before 9am. She apparently knew we were in a hurry, being nine days past our due date (and quickly closing in on another important date I'll go into more below) because, despite being induced, she came so quickly that there was no time for an epidural. In fact, they couldn't even wrangle a baby nurse in time for the birth - for all you birth story lovers out there, I went from 7cm to having her in my arms in 30 minutes.
I'm sure I'll have more to share about her birth and about her in the near future, but I have other news to share for now. Exactly one week after our little girl arrived, we packed up our stuff, said a sad goodbye to Brooklyn, and headed west to the 'burbs to close on our new house. We are officially homeowners.
Within one week we added two new family members - our daughter and our new (old) colonial. I've never been more elated, exhausted and excited in my entire life. Hence the blogging absence for a few weeks. I hope you understand.
So with that said, once the dust settles I will have so much new and exciting stuff to share about the duckling, our new little birdie and of course happenings with our new nest as we explore and experience all the joys that each brings to us.
How did I get so lucky?
