Heidi Braid #3 - Rope Crown

Have you ever had an article of clothing that you just can't not wear?  Sadly, I spent my entire 8th grade year wearing platform sparkly blue jelly shoes and a white pleather skirt with a zipper down the front.  And scrunchies.  Lots of scrunchies.

Since then I've learned a thing or two about spending hours on end outside in the sun while wearing ankle socks, but I can't seem to shake the habit of finding as many ways as possible to wear a style that I love.

Today, in addition to the camel colored boots I've been wearing since before I met my husband, I'm finding yet another way to wear the rope bun - the rope crown heidi braids.  I'm adding this not only to my Heidi Braids - Seven Ways to (Next) Sunday but also to the rope bun and rope headband.

What You'll Need:

- two hair elastics
- two poly bands
- a handful of bobby pins

1. Divide your hair into two low ponytails at the nape of your neck.  Secure each with an elastic.
2. "Braid" each into a rope braid and secure with a poly band (you can find the video for making a rope braid here from the rope braid headband tutorial)
Just like with the Fishtail Heidi braids, if you have shorter hair, divide your hair into four ponytails instead of two.  Check that out here.

3. Pin the first ponytail into place across the top of your head.

4. Pin the second so it overlaps the first and hides the polybands.
